Vision Statement and Mission Statement and Culture of Safety

The Western Port Uniting Church Parish is a Christ-centered, inclusive community that shares faith, love, and compassion while promoting justice, sustainability, and respect for all. Through worship, service, and spiritual growth, we welcome all to discover Christ’s grace and live as disciples in a caring world.

CULTURE OF SAFETY

The Western Port Uniting Church Parish is committed to having a church environment that is safe for everyone involved in all our Parish and church activities.  This is regardless of race, physical appearance, first language, disability, gender, sexuality, age, family background or economic situation.

As a Christian community, we believe that God reaches out to us in love and acceptance and that our relationships with each other should express love and respect and not be abused.

The Parish has implemented the Uniting Church’s Keeping Children Safe (KCS) Policy. As part of this policy, all employees, leaders and volunteers must have a current Victorian Working With Children Check (WWCC), sign a Code of Conduct, and attend Safe Church Training.

Two Safe Church Contact people have been appointed to manage this Program.
